Role Profile
The Commercial Director will play a critical role in supporting our ongoing growth strategy while ensuring commercial discipline across all support functions. The position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing profitability, with an emphasis on identifying and deploying new technologies, systems, and processes to drive productivity, efficiency, and financial performance.
Key Performance Areas
• Identify areas for business improvement, supporting technology and digital transformation within the brand.
• Responsible for P&L delivery, focusing on Supply Chain, Operational Excellence, Margin, and Inventory Management.
• Support strategies to enhance processes and systems in Procurement, Logistics, Planning, and delivery operations.
• Help build a strong category function and support food innovation projects.
• Maintain effective relationships with internal Alshaya and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Starbucks Host brand and MENA Ops director to implement global operational excellence and customer service initiatives for MENA growth.
• Coach and develop Brand Support leaders.
• With MENA LT, lead the creation of the Annual Operating Plan to achieve yearly business targets.
Experience
- 10-15 years gained in Food or Hospitality or Retail sectors retail including a minimum of 5 years as a senior manager.
- Experience in handling multiple complex projects working with cross functional teams and external vendors
- Good understanding or knowledge & interest in the global Retail Coffee shop sector
- Very strong commercially, with a proven track record in P&L management
- Successful track record of multi-site retail management and multi-channel experience.
- Combination of hands-on operational knowledge with strong people development skills.
