Job Profile: Responsible for the supervision of a team and/or function within one’s own area of expertise and to achieve company objectives.

The below Key Performance Areas include but are not limited to:

Prioritize workload and process information to meet deadlines whilst maintaining accurate files.
 Consolidate monthly, quarterly, and yearly shipping reports, ensuring that figures are accurate and complete. Complete Ad-hoc reports as required.
 Manage the daily/weekly shipment tracking information process.
 Ensure information reaches relevant internal stakeholders.
 Ensure the Shipping team process the shipments on time and efficiently.

Ensure adherence of all divisions/ company, local and legal market requirements.
 Ensure Shipping Coordinators actions comply fully with import requirements, advising/instructing, as necessary.
 Assist in compiling the Supplier’s’ Manual detailing Middle East import requirements.
 Handle all queries involving non-compliance of Customs and municipal requirements.

Manage a team including workload, motivation, training and appraisals.
 Play an active part of the DC team and escalate issues as and when necessary.
 Develop efficient processes to meet company objectives.
 Communicate problems with all affected parties.

Develop internal and external relationships to benefit the department and company.
 Ensure freight forwarding agents continuously communicate relevant information on shipments.
 Ensure all stakeholders are fully informed on shipment details.
 Meet regularly with local clearing agents, Freight forwarders and Regional Distribution Centre teams.
 Liaise with local clearing agents and freight forwarders on a continuous basis.

Knowledge:
 University Graduate
Preferably in Transportation, Supply Chain or extensive Logistics experience in Port and Shipping operations.


Experience
 At least 3 years of experience in Shipping, Freight forwarding and/or general maritime transport.
 Good knowledge of shipping operations, bookings & customs clearance.

Key Skills
 Make a difference by suggesting new ways of working which supports the team and department for increase in productivity and cost saving as well
 Good communication skills both written and verbal and will be able to present information in a clear and concise manner.
 It is essential to have a sound understanding and knowledge of Logistics/Shipping and be familiar with basic accounting processes
 Should be able to work as a team
 Good technical skills to analyze data and prepare reports
 Must have good knowledge of Microsoft office such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc
