Role Profile:

Engage with the business to develop strategic and value-adding HR interventions that will deliver key advantages to the business. These will generally include talent planning and development, a keen focus on resourcing requirements for the anticipated growth, skills and competence assessments, both tactical and strategic, performance management, etc.

The below Key Performance Areas include but are not limited to:

Help each business area deliver their ‘brand’ as well as MHA’s employer brand.

✓ Work closely with Learning & Development and champion development activities at all levels of the Division. Support design and delivery where required.

✓ Build internal and external relationships to maximise HR function effectiveness and impact on business activity.

✓ Drive a consistent approach to managing performance through the proper application of the disciplinary process (aligned to the DOT). Be the key point of contact between the business and all HR services, essentially managing the SLAs where they exist.

✓ Liaise with all necessary recruitment teams that are tasked with supplying personnel to their division(s). Provide necessary information and offer input into appropriate sourcing strategies.

✓ Ensure all MRF`s are accurate regarding grade, title, bonus % and salary and volume MRF`s to be reflective of accurate manpower plans.

✓ On an ongoing basis, act as liaison between the customers within their division(s) and the recruitment teams supplying personnel against each requisition (MRF). Construct the Business Manpower Plan, advise the Business and provide OD expertise and options

✓ Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the full MH Alshaya retail structure, gradings and remuneration components.

✓ Ensure organisational proposals are corporately aligned, presented to, and agreed by the HRD before taking to the COO/CEO for approval.

✓ Ensure all nominated people changes i.e. promotions, transfers, etc., to reflect fair and reasonable assessments.

✓ Challenge the divisional management team on the overall cost proposal.

✓ Lead a detailed review of all salaries, by person in line with Corporate guidelines.

✓ Ensure proposals are presented to the HRD along with their respective divisional function head.

✓ Justify all individual merit requests that fall outside of the published guidelines.

✓ Provide supporting information to benchmarking exercises.

✓ Formalise & conduct divisional reviews and Manpower Planning at least every quarter.

✓ Manpower plans to be demonstrably accurate and submitted to Central HR as required. Fulfil the requirements of the HR calendar i.e. incentive plan data requirements, performance appraisals etc.

✓ Demonstrate a detailed working knowledge of the incentive scheme including the rules and the percentage levels/criteria for each position within the division.

✓ Responsible for the communication of the scheme ensuring that all employees, at all levels, show an acceptable awareness of the scheme, how it affects them and the mechanics of how they can earn incentive.

✓ AOR information is updated as required by C&B throughout the year and is to be tested and sample checked prior to submission by the Division.

✓ Facilitate the raising of all exceptions and ensure they are supported by a valid business case.

✓ Accountable for the quality of the information provided from the performance appraisal process.

✓ All PAF`s to be fully completed with Salary history, length or service and benchmarked salary levels.

✓ Attend HR meetings as requested by the HRD and contribute to discussions on improving HR performance. Lead and develop team of HRBPs to ensure value is delivered and the function is managed to the highest standard.

✓ Partake in work groups and projects teams as requested by the HRD. Lead project implementation and communication.

✓ Escalate to their respective function head, all HR updates, progress on the Regional HR operating Plan and all pending HR activities as detailed on the HR calendar.

✓ Manage the performance of HR teams by monitoring KPI`s.

✓ Facilitate people management throughout the division in line with the group culture.

✓ Undertake store and market visits to coach management Employees in the successful implementation of HR best practice.
