Role Profile: We are seeking a skilled Oracle PL/SQL and Forms Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our organization's database systems and application interfaces. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in Oracle technologies, particularly PL/SQL programming and Oracle Forms development, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.

The Below Key Performance Areas include but are not limited to:

PL/SQL Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable PL/SQL code to support data manipulation, business logic, and data processing.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to ensure optimal database performance.

Oracle Forms Development:

• Design and create user-friendly and responsive Oracle Forms interfaces that enable seamless data entry, retrieval, and presentation for end-users.
• Customize and enhance existing Oracle Forms applications to meet evolving business needs and improve user experience. 

Database Design and Optimization:

• Collaborate with the database team to design and maintain database schema, tables, indexes, and relationships to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, query optimization opportunities, and data consistency issues.

Integration and Interfaces:

• Develop and maintain data interfaces between Oracle Forms applications and other systems, databases, or APIs as required.
• Ensure data synchronization and integrity across interconnected systems.

Troubleshooting and Debugging: 

• Analyse and resolve technical issues related to PL/SQL code, Oracle Forms applications, and database operations.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and rectify errors and anomalies.

Documentation:

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, specifications, and code comments, to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA testers, and project managers to understand requirements and deliver solutions on time.
• Communicate effectively to provide project updates, address concerns, and gather feedback.

Knowledge:  

• Advanced knowledge of Oracle Developer Tools 10g and above (e.g. Forms, Reports).  
• Should have work experience in RICEW components in Oracle HRMS/Payroll/SSHR.
• Advanced knowledge of PL/SQL programming and Proficient in performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience in Oracle Interfaces/Conversions and APIs in Oracle HRMS/Payroll.  
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Workflow customization and development.  
• Hands-on experience in OAF development and personalization. Good understanding of EO, VO, CO, AM and OAF Pages using J-developer along with Java coding.  
• Hands-on experience in building Oracle Forms and Form Personalization.  
• Proficient in building custom reports using Oracle BI Publisher (XML) & Oracle Reports.
• Solid understanding of Oracle eBusiness Suite (R12.1.3 and above) table structures, views, AOL concepts.
• Techno-Functional experience in at least 3-4 modules (HRMS or HCM) module is mandatory.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
• Proven experience (4 to 7 years) as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer and Forms Developer.
• Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL programming, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Forms development, including form design, customization, and user interface development.
• Strong understanding of database concepts, normalization, and data modelling.
• Familiarity with performance tuning, query optimization, and database indexing.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, version control, and testing methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Any relevant Oracle certifications would be a plus.

Skills:

• Experience with other Oracle technologies such as Oracle PLSQL, Forms and Reports.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
