Role Profile:

Responsible for providing a visual deterrent against theft, damage & violence in Alshaya stores/support centres and depots. Actively works towards reducing shrinkage & creating a safe and pleasant environment for customers and employees.

Role Responsibilities

  • Regularly carry out patrols to prevent attempts of theft/vandalism/damage.
  • Assist in apprehension/detention of thieves.
  • Report all incidents that may occur in operation, within the required shift, providing information as to the nature of the incident.
  • Prevent/react to incidents of violence involving employees and customers.
  • Monitor access to store/employee entrance and stock storage areas.
  • Inspect and report against non-compliance or company procedure breaches within the store operations.
  • Assist with random employee searches in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for reporting exceptions
  • Conduct regular and random till reconciliations and report exceptions.
  • Regularly monitor deliveries/storage and review documentation, monitor key control
  • Review/monitor daily documentation, cash declaration, faulty items, customer and employee returns, employee searching, stock transfer reconciliation and compliance to employee uniform issue policy.
  • Ensure stores operate good key control as per company SOP.
  • Control storage and return of lost property, reporting any breaches of company SOP.
  • Completion of structured visit reports
  • Conduct awareness meetings as part of the annual plan work.
  • Daily checks of CCTV equipment's to ensure its in working order & report faults with MRF.
  • Report any H&S related issues to the Fire health & safety team.
  • Support with sharing initial findings related to H&S incidents.

Knowledge:

  • General education
  • Local/civil criminal law (required but not essential)
  • Health & Safety knowledge
  • Employee/customer theft/ malpractice indicators

Experience:

  • 1 year’s retail operations experience
  • Similar or practical experience desirable
