To optimize and protect the organization's IT assets across the region. This covers the timely procurement, deployment, categorization, maintenance, and phase-out of IT assets in a way that maximizes business value. The role also supports the development and implementation of procedures that govern the proper handling, usage and storage of IT assets, limiting potential business or legal risks, and ensuring full audit traceability across the asset lifecycle.

• Follow the formally approved procurement process to procure the required inventory of stock and software assets.
• Monitor asset levels regularly, identify sub-optimal or shortage levels, and raise procurement requests when inventory reaches pre-determined thresholds.
• Perform regular maintenance of assets in line with organizational guidelines and phase out irrelevant or end-of-life assets according to the asset management plan.
• Manage the full asset lifecycle with the help of RIT Function: receiving, tagging/labelling, deployment, transfers between stockrooms, returns, write-offs and disposal (ITAD).
• Validate approvals and fulfilment of feasibility for asset requests, assign assets to requesters, and notify Regional IT / Warehouse IT for dispatch.
• Record and maintain assets in the asset repository / CMDB, ensuring data accuracy, consistency and continuity (including asset models and serial numbers).
• Capture all asset transactions – invoices, purchase orders, issues and transfers – and maintain accurate documentation and filing.
• Conduct inventory audits, cycle counts and random spot checks; analyze data and generate reports on stock levels, usage and forecasts.
• Check that business units comply with corporate policies in the utilization of assets and ensure adherence to internal controls and audit requirements.
• Support the Asset Manager with audits, reconciliation and report generation, and collect/retain asset data for risk and cost assessment.
• Develop strategies to increase Return on Investment (ROI) and minimize risk and loss across the asset base.
• Contribute to the design and continual improvement of the asset lifecycle, refining existing asset policies and SOPs.
• Coordinate with Procurement, VMO, Regional IT/Warehouse, Finance, Config Management and other departments to ensure operational continuity.
• Operate core ITAM tooling (e.g., ServiceNow HAM Workspace, Lansweeper) for asset operations, task management and lifecycle tracking.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or information technology (required). A degree in Business or Computer Science is preferred.
• Preferred certifications: CHAMP, ITIL, CITAM.
• Desirable certification: PMP.
• Work experience in asset and inventory management or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with asset lifecycle management and IT asset repositories / CMDB.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel is a must, in addition to AI Tools.
• Solid knowledge of asset management and the asset lifecycle, ITIL, and project management.
