Role: Shipping Co-Ordinator
Key Performance Areas include but are not limited to:
- Ensure Shipping Process is followed on timely manner and communicate any deviation or problems with all affected and responsible stake holders.
- Prioritize workload and process information to meet deadlines whilst maintaining accurate files. Ensure Shipping Coordinators process shipments on time and efficiently.
- Ensure freight forwarding agents continuously communicate relevant information on shipments. Communicate problems with all affected parties. Develop internal and external relationships to benefit the department and company.
- Ensure information reaches relevant parties. Also ensure stakeholders are fully informed on shipment details.
- Handle all queries involving non-compliance of Customs and municipal requirements.
- Manage a team including workload, motivation, training, and appraisals.
- Oversee and develop ongoing reporting automation requirements or any Change Management projects.
- Drive GF Supply Portal requirements.
- Liaise with freight forwarders on a continuous basis for all Inbound supply markets and create visibility on issues.
- Ensure shipment master tracker compliance.
- Chase outstanding details for reporting
- Ensure to communicate and flag any issues that could cause potential delays.
Internal Trainings
- Support the Training discussion on the Group Freight Learning POD
- Keep track of Trainings modules and trainings schedules of the team
- Escalate the pending L&D trainings with the supervisor.
Team Development
- Train and delegate tasks
- Check the required support needed by the team.
- Engage closely with the team to carry out tasks efficiently
Key Qualifications and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred but not limited.
- Minimum 5 Years’ experience in Shipping/ Freight Department.

- Self-starter, self-driven will always go beyond the norm when resolving issues. Avid learner to bring in best practices in Costing.
- Relationship Management – People Management & cross functional stakeholder.
- Change Management – Ability to adopt and embrace change and ably manage transitions.
- Extensive Experience in managing LSP relationships at origin to control product flows & variances.
- Advanced written and verbal communicator with ability to analyse and articulate complex information clearly.
- Advanced Excel, Word and Power Point BI skills. Ability to adopt new systems
