The IT System Support Engineer will ensure the availability and functionality of IT systems within the warehouse environment by delivering high-quality technical support, system administration, and proactive maintenance. The role contributes directly to operational efficiency, user satisfaction, and system uptime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on support for all IT systems including PCs, RF devices, barcode scanners, label printers, and surveillance systems.
  • Maintain and support Warehouse Management Systems (ILS WMS) and logistics applications.
  • Ensure proper functioning of LAN/WLAN infrastructure within the warehouse.
  • Support deployment, imaging, and patching of devices via SCCM, SOTI, or equivalent.
  • Monitor IT asset compliance and coordinate installations, upgrades, and replacements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents within SLA, ensuring proper ticket documentation.
  • Liaise with network, infrastructure, and application teams for escalated issues.
  • Assist in IT setup for new warehouse zones, racking areas, or automation integration.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in IT support or systems administration (warehouse/logistics preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, Office 365, and basic server interaction.
  • Good knowledge of logistics software (WMS, TMS, ERP systems) and network management.
  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools and warehouse-specific technologies (e.g., Zebra, Honeywell devices).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
  • Knowledge of SCCM, ticketing systems (ServiceNow), and remote desktop tools.

 

Key Competencies:

  • Strong communication skills, able to translate technical information for non-technical staff.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a high-paced logistics environment (Rotation-based shifts).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies.
